So you want to join HRS?

Hospital Radio Swindon is run entirely by volunteers.  We welcome new helpers and talent. The first step is to join us as a member of the society.  After completing various Great Western Hospital procedures you will be invited to work with us as member, raising funds, assisting with administration or possibly technical tasks when we do outside broadcasts and organising events. Once a paid up member, you can also apply to receive training as a presenter and if successful you will be invited to sign “The Presenters Charter” and will be given your own show.

If you fancy being the next Chris Evans or simply want to help “Make Patients Smile” by working behind the scenes, there is no time like the present.

Road to becoming a Presenter/Member

As mentioned above, one of the main reasons people join Hospital Radio Swindon is to present a show on the station. The following flow chart shows the process of becoming a presenter.
The flow also confirms how you become a member shold you just wish to join Hospital Radio Swindon with out presenting a show.
