Hospital Radio Swindon Wins Silver at National Hospital Broadcasting Awards
The annual Hospital Broadcasting Conference and Awards took place over the weekend of 21 March in Bolton, bringing together stations and volunteers from across the UK to celebrate excellence in hospital radio.
Members of the HRS team were in attendance for the event, which highlights the creativity and impact of broadcasting.
HRS received two nominations and was awarded Silver in the Best Station Promo category for its In the Café Queue promo. The recognition marks a significant achievement for the team and showcases the station’s ability to connect with its audience in engaging and innovative ways.
Judges praised the entry for its simplicity and effectiveness, commenting:
“The judges enjoyed this short and succinct introduction to the many ways in which anyone can listen to the station. Several messages were relayed by a variety of voices in a café queue, confirming their enjoyment of the station. A nice, easy idea.”
The award highlights the continued dedication and creativity of the HRS team in delivering content that resonates with listeners, both within hospital environments and beyond.
